Bay Area Restaurant Review: Amy’s Drive Thru

I have been buying Amy’s products at the market for so long, but I had no idea they had a restaurant. And let me tell you it did not disappoint one bit!

This Amy’s’ Drive Thru is located in Corte Madera, but they also have a location in Rohnert Park more north and one in SFO (the airport location is temporarily closed due to COVID, so be sure to check their website).

Most people use the super convenient drive thru, but we ordered inside and sat at their really cute outdoor seating area. There were plenty of distanced tables and the added bonus of heaters to keep us warm!

While we were there, there was always a line of cars in the drive thru. It even grew bigger as time went on!

It is the perfect comfort fast food to eat in the car or grab to take back home.

Amy’s menu ranges from the classic fast food burgers and fries to pizzas and burritos and mac ‘n’ cheese. There truly is something for everybody! All of the food is vegetarian and non-GMO organic per the Amy’s mission. Luckily for me, essentially everything can also be made vegan. We decided to stick with the classics and order burgers, fries, and a milkshake: the most perfect Saturday dinner combination!

The Amy veganized (left), Sweet potato and regular fries (middle), Chocolate non-dairy milkshake (right)

To order, we both had to go for the classic The Amy burger. This is a double patty and double cheese stack of heaven. It really was double deliciousness especially with their secret sauce. It gave me In-N-Out vibes but even better!

They gave me the choice between grilled and raw onions- I of course got them grilled! The pickles were on the sweeter side and I honestly would have preferred more.

But the best part by far was the vegan cheese! It was phenomenal: an amazing melt and zero of that weird non-dairy cheese taste. As someone who loved cheese before going vegan, this has been the best vegan cheese I have tried yet (which is saying a lot)!

Their burgers feature an actual veggie burger not the imitation meat ones which just makes me love Amy’s even more!

The fries were superb as well. My favorite were the sweet potato. I thought the regular Amy’s were a bit on the smaller/skinnier side for my preference.

Now for the non-dairy chocolate milkshake! It uses a coconut milk base which concerned me at first as I did not want a strong coconut flavor. But I didn’t get a coconut taste at all, only the delicious chocolate!

This meal combination was heaven for me and I enjoyed every single bit (or sip)! It was easy, fast, delicious, and satisfying. I will surely be back to try out more of their menu items or honestly just get the same because I know I can’t go wrong.
